How to Make Your Own Candles: Inside Our Hands-On Workshop

This past weekend, Rustique on the Coast was filled with laughter, creativity, and the soothing scent of melted wax and essential oils as we facilitated a hands-on Candle Making Workshop. It was a joy to see attendees of all ages come together to learn, create, and connect.

From choosing their favorite fragrances to pouring wax into molds, our participants fully immersed themselves in the art of candle making. Many were surprised at how therapeutic the process was—carefully blending scents, and flower mould toppers to create something truly personal and beautiful.

To make the day even more special, guests were treated to a delightful high tea experience, complete with elegant treats, fragrant teas, and cozy conversation. The combination of creativity and indulgence created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the event feel extra memorable.

One of the best parts? Watching everyone's faces light up (pun intended!) when they saw their finished candles come to life. Whether it was a rustic soy candle, a wax melt creation, or a minimalist jar candle, each one reflected its maker’s unique style.

Beyond the fun and creativity, attendees left with a new set of skills, ready to try candle making at home. It was more than just a workshop—it was a relaxing, inspiring experience that reminded us all of the joy in handmade things.
